Navigating the KHS Learning Management System

                      Introduction

                               Wela SilidLMS provides students a platform to facilitate authentic learning in distance education.

How to Navigate the KHS Silid Learning Management System?

1) Open a Web Browser (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, Edge)  and type Silid.co at the Address Bar.

2) Login

      Login to the Silid Learning Management System with the assigned USERNAME and PASSWORD.

3) Silid LMS Dashboard

This is where you can view all subject class cards of a subject teacher based on his / her  teaching load and class schedule.

3.1) To Join an Online Class

 In the LMS dashboard, click the “VIDEO CONFERENCE” button.

3.2) Choose a specific class to join based on the class schedule of the subject teacher or class schedule of a specific grade level.

Once “JOIN” button is clicked, you will be redirected to the Google Meet Video Conference link of the online class.

3.3)  Click the “JOIN NOW” button to enter into the Google Meet Link Video Conference Room of the said online class.

4) To leave the Google Meet Video Conference Room, click the “RED PHONE” button.

5) To join another online class, click the Silid LMS Tab on your Web Browser, and then click  “VIDEO CONFERENCE” button.

6) Choose a specific class to join based on the class schedule of the subject teacher or class schedule of a specific grade level.

Once “JOIN” button is clicked, you will be redirected to the Google Meet Video Conference link.

7) To Log out from the Silid LMS, click the Username Account located at the upper right corner of the  LMS Dashboard. A drop down menu option will appear on the screen. Afterwards, click the option “Log Out”.

This is where a teacher may post announcements, share learning and supplementary resources for the class,  create meeting links, and set up class components

Activities Tab 

This is where a teacher may post written works, long quizzes, performance tasks, and online exams.

Class Tab 

This tab consists of the following menu options:

Participants Tab

Grades Tab

Badges Tab

Attendance Tab

This is where a teacher can generate the list of the students who log in and log out to the specific class list and this serves as an attendance portal.

Participants Tab

In here, one sees all the participants in a class list.

Grades Tab

This is where the teacher can view all scores from all the learning activities assigned to the pupils and students. The SilidLMS automatically computes submitted grades based on the percentage of the classwork category set.

Badges Tab

This is where the teacher can give badges as a means of appreciation and motivation for all pupils and students who submit their learning tasks, to recognize their accomplishments and provide them with a tangible reward that acknowledges an achievement, whether it is a skill, competency, or completed task.
