Requirements

POLICY STATEMENT

It is the policy of Kong Hua School to require pupils and students to qualify for admission through its entrance tests.

It is likewise the policy of Kong Hua School to admit only pupils and students who are of good moral character (and) have the required academic credentials.

Finally, it is the policy of Kong Hua School that, except in cases of academic delinquency, violation of school rules and regulations, the closure of a program, or the closure of the school itself, the pupil or student who qualifies for enrollment is qualified to stay for the entire period in which he is expected to complete the program in the school, without prejudice to his right to transfer to another school within the prescribed period.

GUIDELINES

Requirements for admission are the following:
a. Pre-school

1) Nursery applicant must be 2.9 years old by June.
2) Kindergarten applicants must be 3.9 years old by June.
3) Preparatory applicants must be 4.9 years old by June and must have attended Kindergarten classes.
4) Baptismal Certificate (original and two photo copies)
5) Birth Certificate (original and two photo copies)
6) Two 2X2 I.D. pictures
7) Immunization Records

b. Grade School

1) Grade I applicants must be 5.9 years old by June and must have attended Kindergarten and Preparatory classes.
2) Grade II to Grade VI transferees must have a general average of 80 and must have a good mark in Conduct.
3) Birth Certificate (original or authenticated copy and 2 photo copies)
4) Baptismal Certificate (original or authenticated copy and 2 photo copies)
5) Two 2X2 I.D. pictures
6) Recommendation Letter from the Principal or Guidance Counselor
7) Latest copy of Report Card
8) Immunization Records

c. High School

1) Grade 7 applicants must be 12 ½ years old by June and must have an average grade of 80%. The applicants must also have a good mark in conduct.
2) Birth Certificate (original or authenticated copy and 2 photo copies)
3) Baptismal Certificate (original or authenticated copy and 2 photo copies)
4) Recommendation Letter from the Principal or Guidance Counselor
5) Latest copy of Report Card
6) Two 2X2 I.D. picture

d. Foreign Students

In addition to the above mentioned requirements:
1) Photocopy of an updated ACR (Alien Certificate Registration) and/or
2) Study permit approved by the Department of Education (DepEd)

The admission procedure shall be as follows:
a. Secure an application form from the Registrar’s Office.
b. Submit the duly accomplished form with the complete requirements.
c. See the Directress/Principal or Assistant Principal or Guidance Counselor for the preliminary interview.
d. Pay the testing fee and secure testing permit at the Treasurer’s Office.
e. Take the entrance test at the Guidance Office.
f. Qualified applicants shall come for a final interview together with their parents. A validation slip shall be given after the final interview.

The admission of new students is decided by the Board of Admission taking into consideration the entrance test results, recommendation, academic record and interviews.

Transfer

POLICY STATEMENT

It is the policy of Kong Hua School to consider transferees as new students and as such be automatically placed under probation.

GUIDELINES

Transferees and new students who are placed under probation shall have exactly one (1) year to prove their adaptability to the Kong Hua School system.

Pupils or students under probationary status must earn an academic grade of 80% or above average and a satisfactory rating in conduct.

Leave of Absence, Readmission and Transfer

POLICY STATEMENT

It is the policy of Kong Hua School to allow the transfer of pupils or students from other schools only on exceptionally meritorious cases.

Finally, it is the policy of Kong Hua School, that a pupil or student who had enrolled in Kong Hua School and who eventually transferred to another school shall, upon his/her return to Kong Hua School, be treated as a new student.

GUIDELINES

A pupil or student who wishes to withdraw from Kong Hua School must secure a clearance form from the Registrar’s Office. His/Her withdrawal shall take effect on the date the needed signatures shall have been accomplished.

 

Enrollment

POLICY STATEMENT

It is the policy of Kong Hua School to adopt an efficient, fast and systematic enrollment procedure.

GUIDELINES

Enrollment is the formal act of Kong Hua School in admitting a person who applies as a pupil or student. It is conditioned on payment of the required fees and compliance by the applicant and his parents/guardians with the policies, rules and regulations for admission. Once complied with, the reciprocal relationship between the pupil/student and his parents/guardians, on one hand, and Kong Hua School, on the other hand, begins involving rights, duties and responsibilities for both.

The act of enrollment confirms the fact that the pupil or student and the parents/guardians have so agreed to abide by the policies, rules and regulations of Kong Hua School.

Enrolment is conducted during a designated period. No enrollment shall be entertained once the designated period ends.

a. NEW PUPILS AND STUDENTS
Applicants who have satisfied the requirements for admission must:

1. present their approved admission slips together with the other required credentials at the Registrar’s Office;
2. secure the enrollment forms/contracts;
3. fill-in enrollment forms;
4. proceed to the Accounting/Treasurer’s Office for assessment and payment of fees;
5. submit all accomplished forms to the Registrar’s Office for appropriate action. Secure class card.

b. OLD PUPILS AND STUDENTS
Old pupils and students must:

1. present report cards to the Registrar’s Office;
2. present summer rating certificates for high school students who took summer classes for academic deficiencies;
3. secure enrollment forms/contracts e.g. Probationary Contracts for Academic and Conduct Deficiencies. Those previously advised to transfer shall be denied readmission;
4. submit all accomplished forms to the Registrar’s Office for appropriate action;
5. proceed to the Accounting/Treasurer’s Office for assessment and payment of fees; and
6. return to Registrar’s Office to secure class cards.
